Election-Time "Hindus" are the biggest Hypocrites in the World

Election-Time "Hindus" are the biggest Hypocrites in the World

 Shrikant G. Talageri

I received one of the usual messages from Swarajya magazine, asking for subscriptions. But this time, the message accompanying the request seems to me to contain a veiled attack on Anand Ranganathan. The following is the message: the title is "Evening Check-In, 02 November 2023, How Anand Ranganathan became agitator-in-chief". The message goes on as follows:

"Dear Reader,

Anand Ranganathan has 10 lakh followers on Twitter alone. On YouTube and in TV News channels lakhs more watch him every day.

Amidst the cacophony of meaningless yelling and 'engagement' farming on social media Ranganathan's presence stands out - he's used the very same playbooks used by social media influencers and TV speakers to make for himself a space that stands for a more meaningful agenda and philosophy.

His cleverly scripted 30 second interventions and sarcasm loaded tweets are a perfect recipe for instant virality. But he doesn't do it for a political party or a promotion. He does it because it is the right thing to do - because he could make the world a little bit better for himself and others.

But can his modus operandi always work? Idealism is one thing and running a political party or government can be another - you see, the polemicist has the luxury of being aggressive and honest all the time but if you have to run complex things you have to be willing to compromise.

The latest Swarajya print issue explores this angle while telling you in detail about how Anand Ranganathan became the social media agitator-in-chief. The cover story is anchored by Swati Goel Sharma.

Let me state at the very outset that I was not able to read the actual article about "how Anand Ranganathan became the social media agitator-in-chief" since obviously I have no intentions of paying my hard-earned money to buy or subscribe to a political party propaganda mouthpiece. But, unless the gist of the article is exactly opposite to what this above message (which calls him a "polemicist") as well as the very title of the article show it to be, the article is clearly a veiled attempt to pull him down several pegs and present him in an unfavourable light.

Let me just deal with the insolent statement contained in the above message: "Idealism is one thing and running a political party or government can be another - you see, the polemicist has the luxury of being aggressive and honest all the time but if you have to run complex things you have to be willing to compromise."

As another "polemicist", let me point out a glaring truth: these hypocrites advocating that people (meaning the BJP) "running a political party or government" do not have the "luxury of being aggressive and honest all the time" (thankfully they admit that we "polemicists" are "honest") because they "have to run complex things" and "have to be willing to compromise" never applied the same principle to the Congress during all these decades when they painted the Congress as anti-Hindu and the BJP as pro-Hindu and when the BJP came to power on the back of these tactics:

1.They have consistently been attacking the Congress, whose leaders have been having to "run complex things" for decades by being similarly "willing to compromise". But strangely, there was never really any question of the Congress "compromising", since it never claimed to represent Hindu interests − unlike the BJP which always did, and still does in the opinion of its diehard supporters. So any "compromises" they have made were nothing as compared to the compromises being made by the BJP in its declared ideology. You cannot condemn the smaller compromisers who never made any promises while condoning the bigger ones who always did. [Correction: you can do just that, and much more than that, if you are an unprincipled BJP supporter].

2. Not only did the Congress never claim to represent Hindu interests, but their anti-Hindu acts − going not by the accusations of "polemicists" but by the claims of their own [BJP] party propaganda machinery, their "compromises" were never as great or lethal as those of the BJP. Recently, the BJP advertised the fact − is it a fact, though? Anything the BJP says is always suspect − that in 67 years of pre-Modi (mainly Congress) rule, Muslims continued to constitute only 4.5% among government servants, but in 9 years of Modi/BJP rule, their numbers rose to 10.5%. What will the numbers be after one or two more stints of BJP rule, I wonder.

Anand Ranganathan wrote the cold truth in his recent book "Hindus in Hindu Rashtra", and reiterated the same in his many interviews after the publication of that book. The BJP supporters cannot counter the facts and the truth, so the only recourse is to slander and defame. In this "Hindu Rashtra", "polemicists" like Anand Ranganathan (and Nupur Sharma before him) have to pay heavily for their words. But as Anand Ranganathan said at the end of a recent interview, he is not courageous, he (like all other "polemicists") is a coward: but in spite of knowing (as he specifically stated) that he has to face the twin threats of the sar-tan-se-juda gang and the powerful government, he prefers to indulge in a cowardice which is infinitely more courageous than the "courage" of the powerfully entrenched government-backed forces, the real polemicists, who call him names.

And while Anand Ranganathan is being defamed and slandered and called a "polemicist", people like the "stand-up comedian" Munawar Faruqui, known for his insulting jokes about Sita and other Hindu divinities to the applause of leftist and anti-Hindu audiences, is minting money, and is currently the top star on the notorious show "Bigg Boss", and almost certain to be the winner!

But, let me indulge in a little bit more of honest "polemics": I have much greater respect even for Munawar Faruqui, who is at least honest in saying what he thinks, than I have for these hypocrites who do not seem to know the meaning of the words "truth", "honesty" and "principles". I have more respect for the Breaking India Forces than I have for the BJP and its propagandists.

  1. When the whole constitution has anti-civilizational tenets in built, doesn't a party trying to negotiate through that needs leeway for some yukti? Hindu advocates also must be cognizant of information space. Whole power structures are created out of propaganda systems! What is real truth should be explored in somewhat private or semi-private seminars , not in two minute media, where people are expected to take sound bytes and react with more hope and emotions. Please don't buy into these democracy, open debate and factual accuracy stuff. What you write in your blogs is indeed semi private even if in public domain as only individuals with deliberate preparation can make sense of it.

    1. I wilI only take up the first sentence in your comment. The rest of your comment seems to be just gibberish.

About your first sentence, it only highlights the fact that you have simply not bothered to read the article before commenting. People of your kind really make me tired. In my above article itself, I have replied to this kind of half-witted defense, which I will tiredly repeat below but just once. Please take the trouble of reading it if you know how to:

    2. And remember, when the inevitable happens, people like you will as usual be blaming Gandhi and Nehru, or perhaps even Babar and Aurangzeb, to put the blame at as great a distance from the BJP as possible.

  2. Sir, to start off, let me inform you that google makes it quite difficult for me to post comments on your blog. It gives a message "unspecified error" - which is deliberately vague so that people cannot solve it. So you should keep in mind that these "free" tech sites are nothing but weapons in the hands of the arab/european colonislists. They use it to control who communicates to whom and also know who communicates what to whom - basically profile and track/target people. Internet is a powerful tool created by open minded people that these groups have weaponised using money. So Hindus need a fully self controlled internet that these groups cannot access or even read - I believe that would one of the first steps towards swa-tantra in the age of information explosion.

One point I want to observe here: recently noted that Jaipur Dailogues is having a meet. In some of the discussions, people keep harping that hindus are on their own and have to fund and fight their own battles. But nobody wonders that hindus elected a "hindutwa-vadi" govt - so if hindus have to fight all their battles against the global empires on their own with their own money - what was the purpose of electing the hindutwa-vadi govt? So we should fund the hindutwa-vadi govt with our taxes so that increase the power and control that these groups have over our institutions. The bjp/rss and their apologists have a slave mindset, are surely sheep and allowing such sheep to lead the hindus would increase the speed at which hindus meet their destruction.

    1. Sir, It is very unfortunate when intellectuals like you lose hope. I think things can definitely change if people can think out of the box solutions for problems facing India. For instance on 8th March 1970, Field Marshall General Cariappa at a press conference at Dhanbad has said that for the survival of democracy in India he favoured a President cum Military rule for an interim period, scraping of the present constitution, linguistic states and adult franchise. If he had been alive I think General Cariappa would certainly had led a coup to save the nation. At present we have a system wherein looting public money is defined as democracy.

  4. (1) Sir, I fully understand your despair but we need to stay strong. I think there are enough of us and we may be able survive though these perilous times.

That a "strong" "hindutwa" govt can do this to the sanatan dharma is amazing. It is such a shame to our great ancestors and a testimony to our stupidity/weakness that is the best hindutwva govt we can have.

In one video, there was a person (Ankit Shah) on Jaipur dialogue who was saying 2 things essentially : 1)we cannot clearly articulate our agenda because that would be give away out secrets and 2) we need to mentally be prepared to spend money to deradicalise the muslims (aka enrich the radicals/pakistanis within the boundaries of the Indian state). This is another feature of the internet - smooth talkers who would otherwise get no purchase, now have a way to befool people. Hindus already paid once by trusting people like gandhi, neheru, patel and shyama prasad mukherjee during 1947. These people similarly did not state their actual agenda and this led to the last 70 years of genocide of hindus in pakistan and bangladesh. Also the empowerment of anti hindus in the deccan states. Now these rss/bjp are trying to smooth talk hindus into the same sitution while empowering muslims and christians in bharatvarsha. IMO, muslims not hindus need to pay for muslim deradicalization (from zakat). This is another Indian standard modus operandi of punishing the law abiding citizen and rewarding the most violent criminals. Hindus may fall for this smooth talking due to the 360 degree propaganda. Besides these US tech coloniansts have full control of Bharatya information space and how much hindus can communicate. This is a great advantage to the bjp/rss.

I see how the bjp/rss ignores hindu genocide in pak and bangladesh - as if it is nothing. Ditto destruction of temples - because I don't thing they have any respect for temples and deities. It is a shame that all hindus gave money to these people to build the ram temple - just thinking of the involvement of these people reduces my respect for the ram temple. This is also supported by how they come out in support for sikhs suffering in afganistan. Anything but hindus is good to go - because that has the support of us, uk, canada and aus. The caa to include chritians is another such slap.

  5. (2) continued ---
The bjp/rss are focused on using jati/varna (aka "caste") to divide hindus. IMO, they have fully bought into the british propaganda that "hinduism" is nothing without "caste". That's why they always talk of "reforming" "hinduism". I think they have active contempt of "hinduism" and they think it is the root cause of India's problems. Also they actively help/watch silently as violent islamism getting empowered through govt and foreign support and create a sense of fear in the hindus. (the anti hindu domicile rule in kashmir clearly shows what they think about hindus). I think they are getting more powerful due to this hindu fear - and once hindus ignore the fear mongering and actually work towards resolving hindu issues - these people will be powerless and will lose elections like congress. The hindus need organizations that can actually fund and work on hindu issues - hindus should not be dependent on political parties - because these politican parties can be easily compromised and lead us to our doom. See how the sikh religion was hijacked by the Khalistanis who started working for the us/uk and pak.We need decentralization and thousand of hindu organizations pushing the hindu agenda.

Additionally, now with the internet there a big tool that can be used to confuse people with misinformation/disinformation.

What I observe is that hindu's expectation has been so lowered - that people expect nothing and getting *anything* is a bonus. I commonly hear that the bjp/rss is better than any of the other alternatives. This is the modus operandi of all indian politics, law enforcement, bureaucracy, legislature & judiciary - do nothing in almost all situations so that expectations are reduced to 0. Since they have each other's back, there is no way to make any of them accountable. BJP/RSS know that hindus have no recourse in the Indian state - so they can get away with any action/inaction.

Given that this type of sheep like organization with deep anti-hindu origins is now the hindutwva political party - I am feeling a similar sense of dispair at the inevitable demise of the sanatan dharma. Also I notice that today's urban hindus have very tenuous hindu connection and So I fully understand where you are coming from. I see the actions of the bjp/rss and it increases my despair (I don't follow elections and neither take anything of what they say seriously). However I think there is value in documenting what we are going to loose forever when sanatan dharma gradually dies out - while the prevailing propaganda is that hinduism is in an upswing! Intellectuals like you are very important - people who have the insider view and expertise in our traditions. Otherwise, our future generations will be like the native americans whose identity has been reduced to nothing. Protecting sanatan dharma is same as protecting ourselves from salvery of the xtiam/islamic empire and stopping us from becoming slaves without knowing it or having the ability to do anything about it. It is a matter of slavery vs liberty.

    1. You are absolutely right in everything you say. That is why I have now realized the futility of wasting my time and energy, and raising my blood pressure and losing my sleep, over the future of Hinduism and Indian Culture. I feel they are doomed anyway, but thankfully the final destruction will probably not take place during my lifetime. I have written everything I could have written on every relevant subject and can now retire from the field knowing I have done my duty.

As Rudyard Kipling correctly described it, India is a land "where every prospect pleases and only man is vile". Hinduism is the greatest religion in the world, and Indian culture by far the greatest culture in the world, but "Hindus" are probably the most vile people in the world, who don't really care two figs for Hinduism or Indian culture. The small minority of Hindus (less than 3 to 5 %) who do care are helpless in the face of the vast majority who are either totally indifferent or who are actually hypocritical bhakts claiming to be "Hindus" even as they carry out internal sabotage. And it is time to accept this bitter truth and to get on with life as happily as possible.
