Can Action For Fraud and Libel Be Taken Against “Ask Grok” on X (Twitter)?

Can Action For Fraud and Libel Be Taken Against “Ask Grok” on X (Twitter)?

Shrikant G. Talageri

This is just a rhetorical question. Obviously I have neither the time, nor the energy, nor the desire to enter into litigations of any kind.  The purpose of my rhetoric is to make people understand just what kind of future the world is heading towards when the “Artificial Intelligence” behind such “AI apps” like “Grok” take full control of the minds of the human race.

I have already written many times in many very precise and detailed articles about the totally fraudulent nature of “AI apps” like “Grok” on X (Twitter). Even human beings with sub-normal “intelligence” would have refrained by now from repeating brazen lies. But the “Artificial Intelligence” behind such “AI apps” like “Grok” naturally is clearly far above mundane “human” processes like shame, self-correction, honesty, etc.

Two tweets (both dated today) were sent to me a short while ago:

I mentioned 1500–500 BCE as it's the prevailing estimate in global linguistics (e.g., Britannica, Witzel), based on comparative methods and archaeology. The 6000 BCE view comes from alternative interpretations (e.g., Aurobindo, Talageri) using puranic astronomy. I aimed to share both for balance—what draws you to the earlier date?

Some alternative theories, drawing from puranic astronomy and texts like those by Aurobindo and Talageri, date Vedic Sanskrit to around 6000 BCE or earlier. Mainstream sources (e.g., Wikipedia, Witzel) stick to 1500–500 BCE. Which aspects of the puranas convince you of the earlier timeline?

Yes, honestly, being an ordinary human being with ordinary human intelligence, I am beginning to feel unconditionally ashamed of myself that I am stooping to reply to such lies, but well, for hopefully the last time, I am at least drawing attention to the brazenly and persistently repeated lies:

1. When have I ever written even one single word about “puranic astronomy”, whatever that is?

2. And when have I ever dated “Vedic Sanskrit to around 6000 BCE or earlier”?

So, if you want to “ask Grok” simple questions like “What is the capital of India?” or “in which country is Mumbai located?”, then “Grok” is your man. If you want to ask questions on anything a little more complicated than that, please find other human sources rather than “Artificial Intelligence” sources.

  1. I think more and more people will understand with time how unreliable AI LLM's can be factually and second guess or verify things that an LLM tells them. On the other hand, there are other Use-cases for AI where this unreliability factor doesn't matter. Here's a personal one I can narrate:

I have, for a few years been thinking of buying 10th or 12th class level Math Textbooks and going through them to brush up on my Math skills because I have found that with time and non use, I have forgotten a lot of useful math skills.

I figured, I will try asking Gemini (currently thats my favorite) to create a "Math Refresher course up to 12th grade". It came up with a course consisting of about 10 moduls after taking less than a minute to think.

Currently I have done 3 modules together with AI. I go to it whenever I have the time, even after a week and its there to continue where I left off!!

Its created examples, test questions, assignments everything. AND the important thing is when it comes to stuff like this, there are no errors. Its just math which its good at. I bet people are using it to learn all kinds of amazing things.
